This is what my car had. So I can power my JL speakers with another amp. It hurts my ears when I get out. I’ll say it again: it’s enough for a small car.

I own a Golf GTI. I think that should be more than enough lmao.
To add on, I’m using one Focal amp to power all of my speakers in my car, including the sub. It should make a huge difference to have this amp only for the sub and the focus for the speakers. That being said, I’m not sure if my battery and generator can handle both.

Wow, those amps are great. This “entry level” product is crazy efficient and can handle low power. When I took out other 600-watt amps from cars, they barely kept them going. The 1,000-watt amps from the JD line can handle anything.

I have that same pre fab box. It hits pretty hard for a entry level sub.

I used one of those with a Sundown SA12 and a Skar 1200w amp, and it sucked.

Lucky you man! JL subs are the best.
It’s going to be nice. Make sure the amp is set right, and it will give you years of great sound. 
I bought this for $300 CAD about 5 years ago, and it’s still going strong in the back of my '17 Corolla.
