Gave my ol kitchen sink a makeover and had some gold lying around. Does not vibrate at all.

There is now a dull “thud, thud, thud” instead of the “ting, ting, ting” sound coming from the faucet drip.

This was done in addition to some metal RH chairs in my kitchen that, when moved across the tile floor, sounded like Zildjian cymbals.
