Does this setup sound good for a beginner?

I have a 2008 Honda Accord sedan base model, and I think I’ve figured out what I want to get for my audio build. This isn’t final yet since I’m still new to this. I went to ABT, and their prices for speakers seemed better than what I’ve seen online, so I’m considering them.

Here’s my plan so far: JL Audio C3-650 for the front, Alpine S2-S65 or something similar for the back, a 5-channel amp, and a Kenwood Excelon P-XW1221SHP 12-inch sub. I’m letting ABT handle the amp and wiring recommendations since I’m not confident I’ve done enough research to double-check their suggestions. I’m also planning to get sound treatment, fast rings, and RCA cables.

I’d really appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Looks like a good setup. Have you thought about sticking with Alpine in the front too? Something like the S2-S65C could work well.

I did consider that, and it’s probably my second choice. I’ve heard a lot of people say the JL fronts are worth it because of the sound quality. Plus, the ABT guy is offering me around $100 off, which makes it tempting. What’s your opinion?

I’d personally recommend keeping the same brand for both the front and back speakers. It helps keep the sound consistent.
