Anyone tried Illusion Carbon vs BLAM Multix … worth the switch?

Has anyone here used both of these and can share their experience? I used to run the C3 components in my old car and liked them, but now I’m thinking about upgrading to the Multix mids and tweeters for my new setup. Not sure how much they go for either.

They’ll be hooked up to a Helix PSix, mounted in custom A-pillars. I haven’t decided yet whether they’ll be on-axis or off-axis, and I know that can make a big difference.

Do you think I should stick with Illusion and use the money for other parts of the build? I really enjoyed the Illusions, so I’m torn. Any advice would be great.

It’s more of a side-grade than an upgrade. If you’re going to switch, maybe aim for something higher-end. Otherwise, using the money elsewhere in your build sounds like a better idea. What do you feel your current setup is missing?

BLAM seems to have a new line coming out—Multix Barrel. Check this out: https://www.blam-audio.com/en/categorie-produit/multix-barrel-en/. Looks like they’re using AMT tweeters now.
