Where are you all buying 18ga primary wire on spools? I used to get mine from Aamp of America when I had a dealer license, but I’m sure there are other good retail options people are using now.
I usually add spools of what I need when placing other wire orders. We use IEWC, and I think they sell to the public. I like their GXL XLPE insulation, but they offer a lot of options.
I just grab it off Amazon. Locally, you might check Home Depot, Lowe’s, or car audio stores. These days, though, I mostly get it from my workplace. Works out better for me!

I tried their 0-gauge wire recently and really liked it. Very solid quality.
@Adler
Yeah, their oxygen-free copper stuff has held up great for years.

It’s also super flexible for large gauge wire. Makes it easy to work with.

For remote wire, Knu sells it for about 9¢ a foot, but their shipping costs can ruin the deal. Like, $1.80 for 20 feet, but $10 for shipping? It could easily go first-class mail for $4-5. I like their stuff, but the shipping charges are rough.
Nemesis Audio sells oxygen-free copper wire. They’ve got some good options.
