Subs up port back is my go to for any suv or wagon

U fire your subs at the roof port to the back is always the best results for 99% of suv applications. Not sure what needs to be sub besides port back subs up.

In my Jeeps, the best results have been with the sub and port up and the sub up and port to the side. However, every vehicle is different, so you should try each direction or position to get the best results.

The way this type of subwoofer is positioned won’t change how long the moving parts last.

This has been the best SUV overall.When you talk about Wranglers, I bet they don’t load well from the back wall.

Best also if the port is at least as far from any surface as it is wide. Eg, 6” wide port opening 6” away from hatch

That’s probably the most usual way to put them in hatchbacks, and it’s how mine are mounted.

It’s okay! There may be some extra stress, but it’s not important to think about it.
