This is my first install, any advice or suggestions would be really helpful!
It sounds like the cable might not be plugged in properly. That’s the only thing I can think of.
Also, you’ve probably seen this before on this forum, but those Android Head Units are pretty much junk. I wouldn’t be shocked if it didn’t work properly at all.
@Ridge
Oh man, seems to be working alright for now… well, except for that, haha. But I was using an old CD player for about three years, and then a dead radio for a year, so getting Bluetooth and Netflix for just $150 is still pretty sweet. Honestly, even if it’s only the right side working, it’s cool. Guess I’m living the ‘ghetto’ life now, lol.
@Noe
Check your wires if you didn’t get a plug-and-play version. If that doesn’t help, or if you did get a plug-and-play unit, try messing around with the wires at the harness. I had an issue where mine would lower the volume or cut out if nudged wrong.
It’s pretty much agreed here that you get what you pay for with these units, and I’m on the same page. I’m using one in my 2016 Grand Caravan after having to sell my old Kenwood. It works fine, with the expected little issues, and I know what I’m getting, so no big expectations.
It’ll probably last about 6 months, then stop working.

Is that from personal experience, or just the general opinion on cheap Chinese products?
