I recently installed a new head unit in my Toyota Tundra because the old one was outdated and kept changing the volume on its own. I used a wiring diagram I found online since none of the connectors seemed to fit. I ended up cutting the old connector and wiring it according to the new head unit’s diagram and the online guide. The head unit powers up, connects to my phone, but there’s no sound. There’s a wire on the new head unit labeled ‘amp power,’ which is supposed to turn the amp on, but my truck’s wiring diagram doesn’t show a wire for that.
Could I have used the wrong diagram? There are so many different ones online, it’s hard to tell. If anyone has advice or can point me in the right direction, I’d really appreciate it!

Maybe you missed something with the wiring, but I’m not sure what’s going on yet.
I followed a diagram I found on a Tundra forum and used the harness that came with the new head unit. I can’t find an exact match to my truck’s diagram, and some diagrams mentioned a blue/pink wire, but mine doesn’t have that. It’s a 2004 Toyota Tundra Double Cab with the JBL system.

There should be an amp turn-on wire (also called a remote wire), and it needs to be connected to the blue/white wire from your new radio.
I can’t find that wire in my system. Some forums mention a blue/pink wire, but that’s not in my connectors. So the wire that’s supposed to be responsible for it on my radio isn’t connected to anything.
