Does anyone make a radio with those EQ visualizers… like the old ones?

I’ve been wondering if there’s a good brand out there that makes radios with those cool EQ visualizers like the older models. Anyone know?

I don’t know why more people aren’t chiming in, but I’ve got a decent JVC that has a smaller version of this feature under the date display. You might find one like that.

Probably because most folks think you’d just be paying for the look and not the quality. If you want advice, maybe check out your local electronics store. If the main thing you want is the visualizer and decent quality isn’t a big factor, any basic one will work.

That said, a lot of people here might recommend something different if you ask for a good overall unit.

Edit: Also, it’s nighttime in the US right now, which might explain the slow responses.

If you’re looking for a single DIN radio, try the JVC KD-X560BT. It might fit what you’re looking for.

Here’s a placeholder image… just imagine something like this:

Yeah, that’s exactly what I was thinking:

Honestly, that looks kind of cool!

Pioneer Premier might have something like that.

If you’re in Europe, check out Aura DSP. They’ve got some interesting options.

Man, I miss my old 9100R. It was simple but did the job.

If you’re after something fun and retro, check this out:

Those flashy EQ displays are like fishing lures—flashy and fun but don’t do much for performance.

Yeah, I wouldn’t buy it for that alone. But if Kenwood or Pioneer made one, I’d think about it since I need a new radio anyway.

@Emory
I think both Kenwood and Pioneer used to make radios with those features, especially their high-end models. Back when I sold car audio, I always thought they were a bit gimmicky, but that’s just me.

@Yan
Yeah, I know it’s just for looks. But if I can get a good one that looks cool, why not?

Totally get it. Here’s a fun throwback—this was really popular back in the day:

People on other forums used to do this to remind themselves to check posts later. I’m guessing that’s what’s happening here.
