Building My Own DIY Car Audio Testing Kit... What Should I Add?

I’m slowly putting together a DIY kit for testing car audio. Anything you think I should include?

I’m not sure if your multimeter has this, but a cheap oscilloscope could be a great addition. Here’s a link to one: oscilloscope

@Jael
It does! :wink::+1: It’s the LIUMY LM2020, and it gets high praise from DIY audio enthusiasts for its value.

I’ll be getting one of those; I just checked it out. That looks like a solid choice!

What about the DATS V3? Also, a 24-bit DAC could be useful.

Great suggestion! I might think about adding that later if I start building speaker cabinets. :wink: Right now, I’m focusing on gear for testing car audio during installation and calibration.

@Avery
Both can work well with installed devices.

True, but the DATS V3 isn’t really needed since most speakers come with the info nowadays, and you can find “pre-built” cabinet designs online for free.

The 24-bit DAC isn’t necessary either, as many aftermarket head units and brands like Audiocontrol already provide everything you need for car audio calibration.

But if I go for bigger DIY projects, having the DATS V3 would definitely be nice!
