I’ve read a lot of posts and comments complaining about how bad Pyle speakers are, but are they really that bad? Just now, because my car’s factory speakers are blown, I’m considering replacing them.
Possess even the tiniest shred of civility.
Buy Kenwood if you wish to make even the smallest improvement or if you blow your stock.
Would you want to surpass that? Go Jbl or get something comparable in cost.
It’s free real estate above that.
I have been into automotive audio for over 30 years, and PYLE has always been considered junk. Get a name brand by spending an additional $20.
Pyle is awful, indeed. There’s a reason why they are among the most affordable speakers. Not even discount name brand speakers are excellent.
The majority of the time, excellent speakers are only available for between $70 and $100.
Apart from paper weight, Pyle’s main use is if you want to sell the vehicle tomorrow and need a speaker today so that you have one in case someone decides to purchase it and 90% of their choice is based on how well the speakers perform.
They’re not very excellent. If you don’t attempt to give them too much authority and don’t demand much from them, they may be adequate.
Yes, I believe they are awful.
For my S-10, I purchased a Pyle component system. When they were originally connected to a Pyle amp and a Kenwood head unit, they sounded fantastic. I don’t like bass that throbs and bangs my skull. simply a clean musical delivery. The cab has problems with speaker positioning; it’s conceivable that the speakers on the doors are canceling each other out. The tweeters seem OK to me, and their location above the dash is appropriate.
Indeed, those speakers are inexpensive. Are your built-in speakers blown? Which car is this? Is the sound system pre-owned?
Yes; the subs play 1 note and burn out fairly quickly.
They really are awful. long I don’t think stock speakers are completely unnecessary, if you’re changing your car’s speakers, there’s no reason you can’t spend a few more bucks to buy something that won’t blow up right away and will at least sound good for a long.
Hateful I’ve had two 12-inch vintage school square Pyle subs for a few years. They landed hard, so I think I’ll drop to 1 12 inch to give myself more space. I’m not sure what issues other people are facing, but I can be heard from a few streets away if I turn up my own. That’s okay, don’t beat your replacements.
