I heard the Audiomobile Evos might be the only real competitor to JL’s shallow mounts. I’m thinking of picking up one or two for my SuperCrew Cab, but I haven’t decided yet. The JL subs do look more polished, but if they’re going under the seat in a stealth build, looks won’t matter much. Has anyone used them? What’s your experience?
You should think about Hertz MPS too.

I’ve listened to those—they’re great, especially for the price! Dayton shallow subs are also excellent for the money, but Audiomobile subs are next-level. You really can’t go wrong with them!
@Arielle
I’ve just never been a fan of the guy who runs Audiomobile.

Totally get that. He has a bad reputation. Shutting down Audiomobile 20 years ago and leaving customers hanging wasn’t cool. Then he went to work for Eclipse. Most people forgot since it was before social media.

Fair point. That’s enough to make someone hesitate.

I’ve never heard of them before. Are they a smaller company? What makes you suggest them?

Not small, just not as well known. Their subs sound amazing. Definitely worth looking into.
@Andi
They’re great because they essentially copied the JL design since the patents expired. Almost identical subs. Check out DIYMA for shallow mount subwoofer comparisons. Arc A-10 and A-12 are also worth considering. I picked up an A-10 myself to try something different.
@Andi
I’ll look into them—thanks for the heads-up!

Hertz is an Italian company that makes some impressive gear. I can’t speak for the MPS series, but their Mille Legend line is top-notch.
@Yan
Oh, I think I’ve heard of them before. Just never seen them in person. I’ll do some research.
I was thinking of getting them for my F150 under-seat setup, but their website didn’t have any specs. Google didn’t help much either. With no clear info, I passed.

I saw a YouTube video comparing them to JL, and Audiomobile outperformed in most specs. That’s what got me interested. Their website is useless, and they only sell through a few dealers, but they seem to be doing something right. They’ve got my attention for sure.
When it comes to sound quality, Audiomobile blows JL TW3s out of the water.
I’m thinking about getting the Audiomobile Evo 2408 subs.

Same here—I want them for a front sub setup because they need such a small box.

They’re super plain-looking, but their motors are impressive. I’ve thought about installing them in reverse to show off the motor, but it might take up too much space.
@Ashby
I’m debating putting them in the kick panels. Just trying to figure out if it’s worth the effort.
