Amp rack setup… should I add fans?

I’m working on installing some cooling fans. I have 4 60mm square computer fans, and I’m wondering where would be the best place to put them? This will be on the back wall of my truck, behind the seats. The 60mm size is pretty much the only option I have because of space limitations. Would cutting holes behind the amps and mounting the fans to pull air off them be a good idea? There are only a few small holes in the back of the amps.

Are these class D amps?

Is the 60mm the gap between the amps and the seats?

Are the amps going to be mostly vertical?

Is there any space between the amps and the rack itself?

If the answers to all of these are yes, I don’t think you’ll need fans.

@Kade
Yes, they’re class D amps.

The 60mm refers to the size of the fans I have, and the gap between the amps and the back of the seats is less than an inch.

The amps will be mounted vertically.

There’s no spacing between the amps and the rack, but I can probably raise them a bit using some mounting screws. They’re almost touching the seats as it is.

@Thames
I think you’ll be fine without the fans.

Just run them without and check on them a couple of times after pushing them hard to see if they get too hot.

I also don’t think you’ll need fans.

You won’t need fans.

I had the fans installed and running, but my wiring was a mess with signal and power crossing in a few spots, causing noise. The amps were getting hot when running, could this heat have been caused by the bad wiring? I had an inline fuse holder melt because of a poor connection on the input side where my 4 gauge power was going in. Also, I had used OFC for power but CCA for the ground on the monoblock. Now it’s all OFC, and I’ve swapped to a dual fuse block instead of running everything to a distribution block with separate fuse holders.
